Who Needs divine intervention?

Every lawful captive needs divine intervention.

Hence, the question in,

Isaiah 49:24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

 
Now, such was the query that disturbed the minds of the Hebrews following the threats of Goliath, the Philistine giant. He was, indeed, a good example of the mighty. 

Also, King Nebuchadnezzar was a formidable ruler and a great threat to many neighboring nations, making him look like the mighty.

Now, the three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were among his captives in those days:

Daniel 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

The question now is, is it possible to deliver such captives of King Nebuchadnezzar?

Well, I suppose your guess is as good as mine. And which, of course, would look more like a suicide mission, except for the divine intervention.

Also, the present war between Russia and Ukraine, as at the time of this writing, is another good example. It looks more like a battle between the mighty and its prey or a lawful captive. And this makes everyone to fear for the final fate of the Ukrainians.  

DIVINE INTERVENTION: THE LOT OF THE GODLY

Well, let us hear 👂 what the Bible says in   

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 

And from the verse before it, we also learn 📕 about faith in operation, as God delivers His daughter from barrenness. 

Luke 1:36 And, behold, your cousin Elisabeth, she has also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 

Since God is able and capable to make all impossibilities possible, it then means that something in man is responsible for impossibilities.  

Now, let us see what that is in the next verse of Scripture: 
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible to you.

The Promise Of Intervention

  No wonder the Lord God declares in
Isaiah 49:25 But thus said the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children.

  Great.
That is a promise, and not just any promise, but a covenant one at that. And which means you have a part to play in it.  
That again is to say, if you fail in your part, you hinder the move of God in your life. You, therefore, have to let go of whatever will not let you go. Only by so doing, can you move to your place of divine destiny assignment. 

And the promise continues in,
Isaiah 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress you with their flesh; and they shall be drunken with their blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. 

And, another passage like this is, 
Exodus 23:22 But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

  It means that whoever dares you dares God, and they contend with God, who contend with you. 

Now, the following passage best describes the fate that awaits them.

Isaiah 41:12 You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with you: they that war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nothing. 

It is okay for the Lord to boast because He owns all powers, including the one the adversary misuses.  

The Faith Life:  How It Impacts Divine Intervention

The following passages tell it all:

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. 

You should exercise your faith in God, and in none else, so He can intervene in your difficult situations.

Romans 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of  God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 

Galatians 3:11  But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of  God, it is evident:  for, The just shall live by faith. 

And that means you must remain steadfast in faith as a child of God.

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  

This shows that a man of faith must reflect the character of Jesus Christ.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 KJV  

For everyone, salvation must begin with and continue by faith.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 

Every true child of God must identify with the sufferings and triumphs of Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draws back,  my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Your drawing back from the faith will only hinder divine intervention in your life.

Faith Facts:  The Divine Connection

It originates from God. God is faithful.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, which keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

Psalms 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations.

To have faith in God is to sing His praise in the land of the living. Only the living can praise 👏 God. The dead cannot praise God.
