THE PRAISE IN HIS PRESENCE
is volume 1, of the series title,
COME AND DINE.
As a Christian Gospel Devotional book, it is designed to help you discover various ways and reasons to give God continual praise. Praise brings down the presence of God.
The presence of God is where His blessings flow. Therefore, to miss it is to settle for less than God has provided for you. Thus, praising God always cannot be overemphasized;
Hence, the Psalmist says:
Psalms 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

THE WORD TODAY
DIVINE COUNSEL
JESUS IS LORD!
THE PERSONALITY OF JESUS
If His birth took the world by surprise, the Personality of Jesus did even more.
St. Matthew16:15 He saith unto them, but who say ye that I am?
Today, it is your turn to answer that question.
As the saying goes, Iron sharpens iron.
Therefore, you need a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. And you can achieve that by studying His personality.
A friend that will never disappoint you is highly personable, and that describes Jesus.
Jesus is Lord. He is king forever.
Luke 1: 33 and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom, there shall be no end.
Pride often quickly begins to manifest in the life of someone who gains promotion above others. How much more the person who occupies a special place in life, by birthright.
Hence, if anyone qualified to move around so proudly, Jesus did.
Thus, it is rewarding and enlightening to see how He managed His position as the Lord and King.
RIGHTEOUSNESS
St. Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
It is crystal clear that John the Baptist knew the worth of Jesus Christ and he honored Him to that effect. However, it did not cross his mind that Jesus should be baptized, or that he would be the one to do it.
As for Jesus, His willingness to fulfill all righteousness exceeded any desire to expect honor, or display any form of pride and superiority.
The righteous is as bold as a lion. It would be best if you put on the righteousness of Jesus Christ, to enjoy righteous boldness.
You are protected by righteousness in warfare, hence, you must put it on as a breastplate.
For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” Romans 9:15
The Lord is a compassionate God, and He draws us closer to Himself by His love, mercy, and kindness.
Hence, compassion should bring you closer to where and on whom you should spend it.
Hence, there is no concern without enthusiasm.
You are either having compassion on yourself and others, or you are not. It, thus, increases by use.
E.g., The mournful needs sympathy: helpless children especially, need care. They deserve to live, to experience the good things of life, and have good memories to share with their loved ones.
For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter, Psalms 59:12 NIV
Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14 NIV
When you talk too much, you fall into temptations that lead you to sin. You must learn to tame your tongue so that it remains under your control, especially in times of provocation. And that also means learning to do away with anger as fast as you should.
And by means of many wonders and miraculous signs, he led them out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and through the wilderness for forty years. Acts of the Apostles 7:36
God wants to lead you in the way you should go, but you have to let Him do it by surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, who died to save you.
Thus, this songwriter says, God knows the way through the wilderness, all we must do is follow.
To follow Jesus today, first, give your life to Him. And to do that, repent of your sins and pray for forgiveness.
