No Cross, No Crown
Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
To be fit for the kingdom of God, your focus on Jesus must be complete, and not broken. There should be no looking back to the things you left behind. This lesson comes from Jesus Himself, it is therefore not left to the discretion of the hearers to do as they please, but to live in obedience.
Not even pastors, ministers of the gospel, or new converts, etc., are excusable concerning this teaching. All have access to the grace of God to help in time of need.
No man who looks back from following Christ, whether under pressure or under leisure, is fit or qualified for the kingdom of God. Every child of God has his or her cross to carry and follow Jesus. To abandon the cross, is to forfeit the crown.
