For Your Life Transformation And Upliftment.
Jesus, thank you for the grace to write this volume. Thank you, Almighty Father, Thank you Holy Spirit. Amen
You will come to realize that there is so much to know about Jesus as you proceed to study His personality. And you will experience afresh the power of knowledge.
Also, you will appreciate that who you are affects what you do and vice versa.
The same applies to where you go, who you move with, why, and when you do.
Therefore, it is wise to keep the right company. And the best approach to achieve that is to begin to study the character of whoever you relate closely with, to make the right choices in your relationships.
Thus, to learn much about the personality of Jesus, we shall examine His life, in the light of the Holy Scriptures.
St. Matthew 16:13-14 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, who do men say that I the Son of man am?
And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Just like it was in those days, so many people today do not still understand who Jesus is.
St. Matthew16:15 He saith unto them, but who say ye that I am?
Today, it is your turn to answer that question.
You need a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ, and you can achieve that by studying His personality.
St. Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Peter caught a right revelation of who Jesus is because of his zeal for the knowledge of God. You need that same type of zeal too; hence, you should emulate Peter.
Therefore, as the Son of the living God, below are some qualities of Jesus Christ:
St. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Only Jesus can give you eternal life.
1Timothy 6: 15 For at the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Jesus is the son of Abraham
St. Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
The Holy Ghost conceived Jesus.
St. Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
St. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
St. Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Wise men saw his star in the east and came to honor Him at birth.
St. Matthew 2:1-2
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him.
St. Matthew 4:17, 19
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
St. Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.
2 Corinthians 11:15
Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also are transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
The following passage tells it all:
Philippians 2:5-11
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Every child of God should learn humility from the example Jesus left us in his teachings.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore, there should be no limit to your obedience to God. And that you can only achieve by embracing humility.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Every knee (not a few), and every tongue (not just some), should assume their responsibilities and live up to them.
All knees must bow, while the tongues should confess to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, universally.
The name of Jesus, which is above all names, demands it of all men and all creatures.
