PRAISE THE LORD
Praise the Lord, O my soul, let everybody praise the Lord; for His mercies are everlasting, I will praise the Lord. That was a popular chorus in the 80’s and 90’s.
PEOPLE OF GOD, PRAISE THE LORD IN THE MOUNTAIN OF HIS HOLINESS.
Children of God, praise the Lord at all times in holiness and righteousness.
Isaiah 12:4
And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted.
PSALMS 48:1
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
1Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
CALLED TO PRAISE THE LORD
You should praise the Lord with purpose:
- You are chosen for this cause, praise the Lord;
- And made a royal priesthood, being in the Kingdom of God.
- We are peculiar through Christ Jesus;
- And are made holy in Christ.
- Therefore, you must be holy to praise God;
- You need Jesus to be holy;
- Hence, you must be born again;
- Only the holy person can see the Lord,
- It is an honor that you are appointed to praise God;
- Praising God is your lifetime endeavor and divine purpose
- You cannot praise God and fail;
Every child of God should put on the righteousness of Christ, which gives the required boldness to praise God amid foes; And it establishes and keeps you far from oppression.
PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE GOOD NEWS
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
The good news of this hour and for all ages is that Jesus is Lord; Hence, the name of Jesus is the name above all names: be it sickness, disease, virus, poverty, frustration, limitation, despair, weakness, evil, etc. Jesus saves: He died to save you; there is no other name whereby we can be saved.
You must be born again to enter into eternal life; Jesus heals: by his stripes, he healed the lepers, the lame walked, the blind saw, the issue of blood ceased, the dead rose, etc. The Lord Jesus paid the price for your healing. Would thou be made whole?
Praise Jesus, the great provider
He supplies every need; he turned water into wine: Jesus will make the ordinary things of your life sweet, extraordinary, super, etc.; and He fed the multitudes of five thousand, four thousand, with few loaves, respectively, including the disciples, etc. Jesus is the way;
The Lord Jesus makes a way where there seems to be no way.
Jesus never fails; His word is yea and AMEN; He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Praise Him with a shout. Jesus is Lord.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Enter His gates with Thanksgiving, and His courts with Praise.
THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL
Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Faith in Jesus Christ is the Solid Rock upon which the church stands. And whoever exercises this faith is the temple of the living God.
THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD GOD
2 Corinthians 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
You and I are the pure church Jesus Christ is coming to take to heaven. That is the ultimate purpose for which you should keep yourself pure.

HOW TO PRAISE THE LORD
(Genesis 17:1): “ And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”
Leviticus 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it at your own will.
Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.
(Hebrews 12:28,29) “ Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.” KJV
Thankfulness and worship are the reflections of a grateful heart. A thankful heart is a secret to more blessings.
2. IN HUMILITY FOR MORE GRACE
To obtain and enjoy more grace requires employing every means of grace at your disposal, such as the study of the word, exercising faith, humble heart, etc. beginning and ending with the prayer of faith. There is so much to be thankful for as a child of God.
Nothing less than thankfulness should come from you as a partaker in the kingdom of God.
Your obedience to God is a service of worship that will not go unrewarded by God.
3. RENDERING ACCEPTABLE SERVICE
Divine grace enables you to serve God acceptably, with fear and reverence. E.G., At a point in his life, Abraham was reminded by God to focus on his walk with Him; Likewise, a man should always consider his ways, repent, and return from straying away from the perfect will of God.
God offers His kingdom to His children. Therefore, it is expedient that they worship Him in Holiness and righteousness.
No one should pursue earthly gain, at the expense of heavenly reward, for God is not just the great provide; but is also a consuming fire, especially as many as are too blinded by greed to find time to reflect and give God thanks. The fire of hell will not only consume the sinners but the hypocrites, the unrepentant backsliders, and reprobates, as well.
4. A THANKFUL HEART
There is so much to be thankful to God for in my family: my faith, bright future in Christ; the love of God which gave Jesus to die to save me, for the pain Jesus endured on his nail-pierced hands, on His side pierced with a sword, the crown of thorns, for the shameful death on the cross, that forever took away my shame, divine grace, power, and anointing, God’s thought, and plan of peace towards me, i.e., what God has done, what He is doing, what He will do, the fellowship of believers, the ministry gifts, etc.
The place of thanksgiving is a venue for empowerment for more blessings, grace, promotions, strength, wisdom, etc. You avail yourself of the benefits of coming into the presence of the Lord with thanksgiving in your heart.
